Meet Georgina and Linda, long time friends who established the Craft Business… “It’s All Material”. As avid crafters, Georgina and Linda decided to join forces to supplement their retirement fund. They have perfected a few items to feature at the River District Farmers Market. Their 100% biodegradable Food Savers made from 100% cotton and bee’s wax could eliminate the use of zip lock bags and help keep plastics out of the landfill. They also offer neck/shoulder warmers and coolers for your comfort. And, their lavender sachets made from up-cycled designer fabrics filled with local and French lavender have a very calming effect.
What do you like best about being a Farmers Market Vendor?
We get to meet more of the locals and vendors while getting our products exposed to the market and best of all, we get to spend the day by the river.
What attracted you to the River District Farmers Market?
Location, Location, Location.
What is your passion other than “It’s All Material”?
A few of our passions are discovering and enjoying our local treasures whether it be shopping, eating or just going for walks, etc and being a part of the local community. We are also passionate about educating the public about Environmental Stewardship of the Planet all the while striving to incorporate this concept into our daily lives.
What’s your favourite part of the job?
Our favourite part of the job as a crafter and vendor is sharing our products and ideas with other people.
What’s your least favourite part of the job?
Least favourite part of the job is the set up and take down of the booth. Looking for some MINIONS to help with this.
How do you unwind after a long day at the Farmers Market?
Mmmmmm … Happy hour at Romer’s on the patio, supporting the local business.
