Meet Sabrina and Walked Paws. Walk Paws is a small dog walking business in South-East Vancouver which includes River District Vancouver, a pet friendly community. They focus on providing safe, reliable and fun walks for our community’s canine citizens. They love all dogs, from chihuahuas to giant mutts and from puppies to seniors.
What do you like best about being a Farmers Market Vendor?
The best part about being a Farmers Market Vendor is getting the opportunity to meet other people in my community and spend the day chatting about everything DOG!
What attracted you to the River District Farmers Market?
I was attracted to the River District Farmers Market because of its location. We service a relatively small area (the River District, Champlain Heights and Killarney) so we get to make connections with a lot of cool people out for a weekend stroll with their dogs.
What is your passion other than Walked Paws and dogs?
In my free time, I am a Girl Guide leader. As I volunteer, I help plan and run meetings, camps and outings for a Brownie unit (age 7 to 8) and a Guide unit (age 9 to 11). Being a leader also allows you to explore opportunities you may never have considered.
What is your favourite part of the job?
My favourite parts of the job are working with dogs, being outdoors and being able to help my clients have a more positive relationship with their pets.
What is your least favourite part of the job?
My least favourite part of the job is the cold, rainy days.
How do you unwind after a long day at the Farmers Market?
I unwind by taking my dogs out for a walk and then relaxing at home with a good luck.
