Easy Immunity Boost at Home

Immunity, it’s what everyone is talking about!

You may be asking yourself, “what can I do to make sure my immune system is strong and healthy!?”

A simple way to strengthen your immune system is by incorporating antioxidants and anti-inflammatories. This recipe combines several antioxidant and anti-inflammatory packed ingredients that you may find at home in your own kitchen to create an immunity shot, a simple daily initiative to stay healthy.

What are Antioxidants and Anti-inflammatories?

Antioxidants: When the body undergoes stress from illness, aging or other environmental pressures, free radicals which are unstable molecules, begin to damage the cells of the body. Antioxidants are substances that help prevent or slow damage to the cells. Our bodies can make antioxidants, but we mainly consume them in plant-based foods.

Anti-inflammatory’s: Inflammation is the body’s reaction to illness or physical damage from injury. Anti-inflammatories are substances that assist in reducing the effects of inflammation such as pain and fever.

Immunity Shots?!

An immunity shot is a mixture of ingredients known for their immune supporting properties combined together in a small dose. An immunity boost shot is much more pleasant than the name suggests. The taste can be described as zingy…it may cause you to pucker your lips. The combination of sweet, bitter and a little spice is a great wake-up call to start the day!

It can be taken in one shot or within a few sips.

What’s great about immunity shots is that they are simple to make, they are packed with powerful ingredients and they can become a great morning ritual. The best time to take your immunity shot is first thing in the morning, the cayenne, apple cider vinegar and lemon will give you and your digestion the morning kick start you need. Be sure to follow with a balanced breakfast.
