Happy May!

There is some exciting news happening at River District, starting with announcements on some upcoming shops and services in Town Centre, as well as an update on the re-opening of current restaurants like Romer’s and Starbucks. 

It’s a great time to learn new skills, so tune into our first online knitting club to learn the basics. We’ve also go some great fitness classes lined up, like a live Pilates session and workouts from our friends at Orangetheory. 

Plus, read on for some exciting news about River District’s own Apiary and learn how you can win some free honey! 

Our Presentation Centres are now open by private appointments, and our team members are always available to help you find your new home.

Learn to Knit at Knitting Club

We’re happy to introduce our first online knitting club session, hosted by Carrie on Google Meet. 

For this knitting club session, Carrie will go over all the basics of getting started with knitting including choosing your first project, how to cast on, and other online resources that will help you as you start your knitting journey.

Free Online Pilates Class

Join Marla for a FREE online Pilates Mat Work class with beautiful views of the river at the Neighbourhood Centre. The class will be streamed live on our Instagram account @riverdistrict.

Marla combines yoga, pilates, ELDOA and breath work for a truly unique experience.

BEE a Good Neighbour and Help Name Our Queen Bees! 

Did you know River District now has an apiary? The apiary was created to help support the local ecology in River District by housing the world’s top pollinators – honey bees! 

Now, we need your help in naming our 10 Queen Bees! 

Suggest a name by June 1st on our Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter post and if chosen, you will receive a jar of honey that will be harvested this Summer!

Free Live Classes from Orangetheory

Our friends at Orangetheory are hosting free live workout classes on Zoom to keep you active and moving! Simply click the link to be on Zoom 5-10 minutes before the workout starts. 

Follow their stories @otfriverdistrict to see what you can use as equipment for that day’s workout.

We hope everyone had a great Mother’s Day! Thank you to all the mothers for submitting the most memorable gifts they’ve received to our #rdmomgifts contest.We loved seeing all the creative homemade gifts and all the thoughtfulness and care that went behind them. Congratulations to our winners! 


Bosley’s is Coming

Barks and claps to our new neighbour Bosley’s! Hold onto your tails, as they will be joining the River District community in Winter 2020. 

They’ve got lots for your four-legged friend, from treats and toys to furniture and clothing. All their Pet Experts are trained in pet care and nutrition through the University of California Davis Extension School to find the right solution for your pets. 

Panago Opening in June

Pizza night is going to get even easier as Panago is opening next month! 

From traditional meat pizzas to seafood to plant-based, or create your own, Panago has something for everyone.

Retailer Updates

Now open but are limiting the number of people entering the store. You may only enter through the entrance of River District Crossing, and exit through the sliding doors by the elevator lobby. You can also order online and pick up orders by the side entrance along Sawmill Crescent. 

Now open and accepting appointments.
Their hours are:

  • Monday to Friday – 8am to 8pm
  • Saturdays – 8am to 4pm
  • Sundays – Closed

Planning to re-open on May 25th for limited dine-in. They are still available for takeout and delivery! 

Now open for mobile pick-up orders and delivery via UberEats only.
